BENTON, MO (KFVS) - Pumpkins are 40 percent bigger this year for one orchard in Missouri.
Diebold Orchards owner Paula Diebold says due to the cooler temperatures, pumpkins have been growing like crazy. They have harvested thousands and thousands of pumpkins this year.
Some pumpkins are upwards of 200-300 pounds. One worker said it will be very hard to sell all of them.
Diebold says up north they grow more and bigger pumpkins due to cooler weather while the southern states including Missouri don't usually produce as much, due to higher temperatures.
