SIKESTON, MO (KFVS) - A Sikeston man has been sentenced to over five years on Monday, September 24 on gun charges.
Steven J. Webb, 29, was sentenced on one felony count of being a previously convicted felon in possession of guns and ammunition. He appeared before United States District Judge Stephen N. Limbaugh, Jr.
On Aug. 24, 2011, officers were executing an arrest warrant for Webb at the home of his acquaintance in New Madrid County. Officers say they found three loaded rifle magazines in his pants pockets and a big bag containing two rifles and four 30-round magazines that were fully loaded with ammunition.
According to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Missouri, due to Webb's prior felony conviction in 2011 for unlawful use of a weapon, he is prohibited from possessing guns.
