If you haven't already seen it, be sure to look at the skies after dark to see a picture it is providing at this time.

You will find a  nice bright crescent moon. On Sunday, to the left  of the moon is the planet Jupiter, and to the bottom of the moon is the planet Venus which is a little brighter than the planet Jupiter. You don't want to miss it.

MDNR providing up to $10 million for energy efficient projects

SCOTT COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - The Missouri Department of Natural Resources will be providing up to $10 million in low-interest loans for energy efficiency projects through the Energize Missouri Schools and Local Governments program.

The loans will help Missouri school districts, local governments, public colleges and universities.

"The energy savings achieved through these projects will save taxpayers money, and will allow schools, local governments, and colleges and universities to redirect the energy savings to continue investment into other essential services and capital improvement projects," said Sara Parker Pauley, director of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. "The projects implemented as a result of these loans will help schools and local governments improve their facilities and follows Gov.

2011 No MOre Trash Bash cleans up Missouri roadways

SIKESTON, MO (KFVS) - The Missouri Departments of Transportation and Conservation are teaming up to clean up litter on Missouri roads.

The departments will be working together and are inviting schools, organizations and individuals in Missouri to get involved and reduce the amount of litter throughout the state.

"The Bash is a volunteer effort to help cleanup Missouri and work toward a litter-free state," said Mark Aufdenberg, MoDOT Southeast District roadside manager.

Last year, volunteers picked up more than 128,000 bags of trash.

Heartland laser tour to visit Sikeston

SIKESTON, MO (KFVS) - The Plant Performance lasers in the sky will be in Sikeston Saturday, March 12.

The tour will be at the Cargill Grain Elevator at 410 W. Malone from 7 p.m. - 8 p.m.

It will be visiting several places across the Midwest through March 27 and is free to the public.

First Assembly of God to host turkey calling seminar

SCOTT CITY, MO (KFVS) - The Sportsmen Under the Influence is hosting a turkey calling seminar Saturday, March 19.

The seminar begins at 7 p.m. All ages are welcome to come.

The guest speaker will be Billy Yargus, a National Wild Turkey Federation Grand National Calling Champion.

Sportsmen Under the Influence is a division of the First Assembly of God Men's Ministry.
