MoDOT Commission awards contracts for Southeast District projects | News

(KFVS) - The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission recently awarded four contracts for Southeast District projects during its regular meeting.
Awarded contracts include two bridge deck replacements, a bridge replacement and pavement improvements. Contracts include the following:
- A $8,587,960 contract was awarded to Chester Bross Construction Co., to resurface north and southbound lanes and shoulders of Interstate 55 from Exit 80 to Exit 60 in Scott County.
- A $2,563,814 contract was awarded to Chester Bross Construction Co., to resurface and add shoulders to more than 18 miles of Route Y from Route 67 in St. Francois County to Route 61 in Ste. Genevieve County.
- A $654,823 contract was awarded to L.F. Krupp Construction, Inc., to replace two bridge decks. The first will be over Brazeau Creek on Route Y in Perry County and the second will be over Big Indian Creek on Route V in Cape Girardeau County.
- A $413,599 contract was awarded to RL Persons Construction, Inc., for a bridge replacement over Buffalo Ditch on Route Y in Dunklin County.
According to MoDOT, additional information, regarding timelines and impacts to traffic, will be released prior to the start of construction.
MoDOT says work zones will be marked with signs. Drivers are urged to use caution when traveling in these areas and plan for possible delays. MoDOT will alert drivers prior to any changes in traffic.
