SCOTT COUNTY, MO (KFVS)- Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter says a Benton man is facing stalking related charges.
Jason Delrosario, 36, of Benton, Missouri, was charged with aggravated stalking, two counts of violation of an ex-parte order, peace disturbance, and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $5,000.
According to Walter, Delrosario had been sending alarming text and voice messages to the victim and making uninvited appearances at her residence over the last couple of weeks.
Walter says Delrosario was contacted by law enforcement officials and warned about his behavior. Delrosario reportedly ignored those warnings as well as an ex-parte order issued by the court, and continued contacts with the victim.
According to the sheriff's office, by Thursday evening, Delrosario's behavior toward the victim became even more aggressive with additional messages insinuating threats of violence.
Walter said officers arrested Delrosario at his place of employment Thursday night and found him to be in possession of drug paraphernalia.
