SE Missouri towns dealing with flooding issues | News
SCOTT COUNTY, MO (KFVS)- The flood waters could soon start going down but not before it leaves a mark.
In Scott County, neighbors say that three homes off of County Road 308 were water locked on Saturday.
Two of the families are living elsewhere, and the other is staying put.
There is no word on estimated damage costs at this time.
In Dutchtown, the city credits the hard work of the Missouri National Guard and volunteers with keeping the people there safe.
The water is close to the road but isn't expected to lead to any closures.
This is an area that has seen its fair share of flooding in recent years, but right now, no serious threat is expected.
The Mississippi River
stage in Cape Girardeau is down just below 42 feet Sunday. Current predictions
have it down around 38 feet by Friday.
That's still above flood stage.
