50 Missourians attend MoDOT's 'On the Move' listening session

50 Missourians attend MoDOT's 'On the Move' listening session

 

(KFVS) - The Missouri Department of Transportation says 50 Missourians joined a listening session in Cape Girardeau on February 19 to share thoughts about "On the Move."

Southeast District Engineer Mark Shelton with Listening Session Facilitator Jeff Glenn provided the audience with an overview of the state's transportation system, as well as specifics about Southeast Missouri.

In addition, attendees participated in roundtable discussions based on various funding scenarios to discuss MoDOT's challenges, opportunities and priorities.

Many of the discussions focused on maintaining the system; completing more multimodal projects, such as constructing ports and increasing transit options; and finding ways to be more innovative and creative when completing work.

Route Y closure rescheduled for Feb. 26

Route Y closure rescheduled for Feb. 26

SCOTT COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - According to MoDOT, Route Y in Scott County will be closed on Feb. 22 as railroad crews replace the crossing.

The railroad crossing is located between Middle School Dr. and Davis Blvd. in Sikeston.

Weather permitting, work will performed Tuesday, Feb. 26 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

According to MoDOT, work zone will be marked with signs. Drivers will need to take alternative route.

Route AB to be reduced for railroad repairs

SCOTT COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -  Route AB in Scott County will be reduced to one lane as Railroad crews repairing the crossing.

The railroad crossing is located between County Road 217 and County Road 219.

Weather permitting, work will performed Monday, Feb. 25 and Tuesday, Feb. 26 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists will need to take alternative route.

SCOTT COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - The Missouri Department of Transportation says Route Z will be reduced to one lane while crews make bridge repairs.

The bridge is located between County Road 439 and County Road 437.

Weather permitting, crews will be working Monday, Jan. 14 from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

MoDOT says the work zone will be marked with signs. Drivers are urged to use extreme caution while in the area.

SCOTT COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - The Missouri Department of Tranpsortation says Route 114 will be reduced to one lane while crews make drainage repairs.

This section of road is located between Route BB and Route E.

Weather permitting, crews will be working Monday, Jan. 7 through Friday, Jan. 11 from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.

MoDOT says the work zone will be marked with signs. Drivers are urged to use extreme caution while in the area.
